Nutrition, built around your stage — and your allergies

What your body needs shifts through pregnancy. Mami Bloom's nutrition guidance follows your trimester, and every suggestion can be swapped around food allergies you tell us about — dairy, gluten, nuts, seafood, or egg.

First trimester: gentle and steady

Early on, focus is on folic acid (leafy greens, lentils) and settling morning sickness with small, frequent meals and warm ginger tea. Hydration matters even when you don't feel thirsty.

Second trimester: building blocks

Iron (red meat, spinach, whole grains) and calcium become priorities as your baby's bones develop. We also flag added sugar to help you stay ahead of gestational diabetes risk, and bring in omega-3 from well-cooked fish.

Third trimester: comfort and preparation

Fiber helps with common late-pregnancy constipation, lighter and more frequent meals ease pressure on your stomach, and we keep an eye on sodium to help manage swelling.

Allergy-friendly, always

Tell us what you're allergic to once, during onboarding, and every nutrition suggestion in your dashboard is filtered automatically. A few examples of how we swap things:

  • Dairy → coconut yogurt, hummus with tahini instead of cottage cheese
  • Gluten → rice pasta, gluten-free oat bread
  • Nuts → roasted pumpkin seeds instead of mixed nuts
  • Seafood → herb-grilled chicken instead of salmon or tuna
  • Egg → sauteed tofu instead of boiled eggs
